EARLY STAGES
Trenton Jones and Tyler Jones (known as ‘Trenton and Tyler J’) were raised in the church and started singing at the age of 3. Since then, they’ve been singing in their hometown, Jackson, Georgia, and their voices have been heard throughout the Metro Atlanta area. As they matured and became acclimated to songwriting and personal artist development, they decided to start their music career. In December 2014, they wrote their first song and they have written songs for other independent and emerging artists, with genres ranging from Gospel, Christian, R&B, Neo Soul, and Pop.
MUSICAL INSPIRATION
Trenton and Tyler J admire a multitude of great legends within the Gospel community and are in awe of the newly transformed sound of Contemporary Gospel. Their musical style embodies both Traditional and Contemporary Gospel reaching all generations. They are influenced by Mary Mary, Todd Dulaney, Jonathan Nelson, Tamela Mann, Jason Nelson, Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Yolanda Adams, Travis Greene, and many others. These artists have paved the way for Trenton and Tyler J in this industry, in hopes that they have the capability to lead this coming generation to Christ, just as the legends before them.
